About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have been providing counseling in the Permian Basin since I received my Masters in Counseling from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2009. I have provided trauma counseling at Midland’s Rape Crisis & Children’s Advocacy Center to victims of sexual abuse (children and adults, male and female). I have also provided counseling to victims of domestic abuse at Midland’s Safe Place (domestic violence shelter). Since the beginning of 2017, I have been in private practice providing counseling for men, women, couples, and adolescents.

I understand what it’s like to struggle with life’s problems and need help. I was fortunate to have received counseling for myself prior to becoming a therapist. I know how daunting the journey toward healing can be, but I also know that the reward is greater than imaginable. I believe it is because of the challenging journey that has been my life that I am better equipped at helping others with their challenges & “issues.” As a result, I serve my clients with respect, empathy, and compassion. No matter what a client is facing, it is my honor to be a source of support for them as their counselor, providing emotional safety, acceptance, and guidance through the complicated and painful parts of life as well as the "every day" parts. I consider myself blessed to be able to empower and encourage others in their personal journey towards growth, healing, peace, and greater happiness.

In addition to my experience on both sides of counseling, I am a Christian. As a Christian, I try to conduct myself according to how the Bible instructs. How I relate to people, how I respect people and how I value people (both inside and outside of counseling) are all guided by what we are taught in the Bible. I do NOT preach to my clients, as that is not my place, but my Christian beliefs are what guide me as I provide counseling to my clients.
